Welcome to the Drayton Valley and District Agricultural Society website. We are a non-profit organization registered under provincial legislation - the Agricultural Societies Act of Alberta. We are dedicated to providing support, development of programs and events in our agricultural community.

Founded in 1974, the Society's members were largely made up of people with an agricultural background. Over the years, the membership has developed into a more balanced community made up of families that have moved into the area to either retire or work.

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including our free Brazeau County Fair, Drayton Valley Livestock Show, Bench Show Brazeau Tractor Pulls, Spring Indoor Rodeo and Guitars & Denim.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the sponsors and volunteers that make all of our events happen. Without them, most of our functions would not be possible.

The AG Society also provides scholarships to students post secondary educations (see scholarships) to our local high school students. As with all organizations we are always looking to add fress faces and new ideas to enhance our community. If you can spare an hour  or so once a month (Sept - June) please consider joining us and help give back to our ever growing community.
